Prague 2023

This weekend, part of the Belgian team took part in 'Prague 2023 Para Dance Sport international competition' in Prague, Czech Republic.

The competition consisted of a non-IPC part and an IPC-approved competition.

Elien and Greet Bervoets took part in the non-IPC competition in the Combi Ballroom 5-dance and Combi Latin 5-dance series and managed to achieve a nice 2nd place in both series. Linda Küll and Marcel Smet also took part in this part of the competition and even won the gold medal here in the Duo Ballroom 5-dance series.

During the IPC part of the competition, Elien Bervoets & Sofie Cox danced the solo conventional and solo freestyle series, Linda & Marcel also participated here in duo standard!

They achieved the following results:

- Linda Küll and Marcel Smet:

4th place Duo Ballroom

- Elien Bervoets:

4th place Single Women 2 conventional

3rd place Single Women 2 Freestyle

- Sofie Cox

2nd place Single Women 2 conventional

1st place Single Women 2 Freestyle

In addition to the dancers, Belgium was also represented at this competition by 2 officials: Leona Pellens was a jury member during this competition and Jef Boudewijns was allowed to act as head of the jury.

Now all members of the Belgian team start the final preparations for the World Wheelchair Dancing Championship that will take place in Genoa, Italy at the end of November.
